Costumes

Please submit to the most relevant subcategory whenever possible, i.e. if 70-80% of your inventory is one type, submit there.

Briefly describe what is found on your site. This may include images of past work, current inventory, a shopping cart feature, pricing and shipping information, etc. Finally, include your location in the format of ([city], [state/province], [country]) at the end of your description.

Ethnic and Regional

Submissions to these categories are organized by what is *sold*, not where a store is physically located. So if your store in Antarctica starts selling Hawaiian shirts, please submit to the North American category. Likewise, saris sold in Poland would be placed in the category for Asia. But hey, if you do sell Viking Hats in Norway, it's still okay for you to add to Europe; we won't force you to pick a different continent. ;-)

Grass skirts. Kimonos. Wooden clogs. Sombreros. These are all recognized as traditional garb, or clothing evolving from a particular regional area. We just wouldn't suggest wearing what you buy here all at the same time - unless odd looks are what you're after. :-)

Footwear

This category is for footwear sites that offer online shopping. The main category is for sites that sell footwear for a variety of people. If your site fits a more specialized sub-category please submit it there.

Not submitting to the correct sub-category can delay your site being listed.

We are not a search engine and pride ourselves on being highly selective. We don't accept all sites, so please don't take it personally should your site not be accepted. Submissions are reviewed as quickly as possible, however there is no set time frame for inclusion in the directory.

Keep the description short and appropriate. Under 15 words is best.

If your site lacks content, is under construction or has numerous broken links it will not be accepted. Make sure it is ready to go, before you submit to us.

All submissions are edited and reviewed by dedicated members of dmoz. It can take anywhere from 4 weeks to several months to be listed. Be patient and do not submit your site over and over.

Sites that offer online purchase of a balanced mixture of lingerie styles, including day to day wear and exotic. Display, art or vanity sites with no retail opportunity aren't appropriate.

Used and Secondhand

This area is for listing those sites which offer to sell used clothing on line. They may also offer to buy used items.
